With this set we have combined our elegant Windsor Series Chessmen in solid rosewood and boxwood with this luxurious Montgoy Palisander and Maple Chess Board. It creates a wonderful, traditional-looking chess set. The woods of the chess board match the pieces beautifully and the eggshell lacquer highlights and improves the richness of the grain. The Windsor pieces are hand turned and polished using natural waxes. They are nicely weighted for their size and superbly proportioned. These pieces possess more contemporary lines and curves, but display the unmistakeable classic characteristics of the original Staunton design. In all, a classic, elegant set that oozes quality and value.
