This beautiful set of Finnesburg Series Chessmen are a uniquely artisan version of the traditional Staunton chess pieces and are delicately shaped by Italian craftsmen. These solid brass and nickel-plated chessmen are ideal for decorative or practical use.

At Regency Chess we have celebrated and highlighted the close detail and expert finish of the pieces by matching them with a beautiful briarwood board.

This outstanding quality Italian board is made from briarwood and elm veneers with a quality gloss lacquered finish. The playing area is sectioned off from the edges by a thin veneer of ebony bordering the inlaid veneer squares. The underside of the board features a lacquered wooden veneer and has felting pads to protect surfaces underneath. The wood grain and 'knotting' of the briarwood give a rich depth of tone and patterning. This is a stunningly beautiful and enviable chess set.
