These wonderful pieces have been expertly created from stone crushed resin in this rich cardinal red colour. They are based on Lewis Carroll (pen name of Charles Lutwidge Dodgson) characters from "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" and "Through the Looking Glass".

As a lecturer at The Dean of Christ Church, Carroll wrote these stories to entertain and amuse the young children. The heroine, Alice, is based on the Dean's eldest daughter, Alice Liddell. Carroll was persuaded to have his stories published because her children were so entranced by them. You will recognise all of the main characters from Carroll's tales brought to life on a sublime 19.7 inch lacquered blue erable chess board from Spain.
