For this large chess set combination we have matched some of our most popular classic Staunton chessmen with a stunning Spanish board. With a 4 inch king these substantial Frankfurt pieces and are minimal in design yet elegant. You will rarely find such detail in the knight carvings at this price. Our partner craftsman use carefully selected boxwood to hand turn and carve these pieces, and they are then colored in the rich black you would expect to find in traditional chessmen.The stunning 22 inch board is manufactured using quality veneers to precise tolerances, the sharp contrast of the black on white squares achieved using a modern lithographic printing process.
