With Ebony border frames, the Gambit Chessmen sit on top of this Deluxe Maple Chessboard. It's thin dark line perfectly compliments the rich pieces. When not in use, the pieces can be stored in the solid Sheesham box with green felt base. In this redesign of the box, we use hard-wearing magnets to hold the box shut as opposed to clasps. The result is a chess box that will last as long as the solid ebony pieces it holds.

We recently travelled to Amritsar to meet the Indian team of expert craftsmen that hand-turn The Gambit Series Chess Pieces. The uniqueness of these chessmen really grabbed our attention, with a robust bishop, nimble knight and flared rook all catching the eye.
