Wonderfully detailed Staunton design chessmen with a king height of 3 inches fit perfectly into the cabinet drawer and each piece is adequately weighted and satisfying to hold. These chess pieces are hand turned and expertly carved from selected rosewood and boxwood and then polished with natural waxes. The bases are covered with billiard cloth to protect the exquisite satin lacquered briarwood and elm playing surface.
