The hardwood veneers are finished in a luxurious satin lacquer to create a beautiful showpiece in a modern or traditional setting with gray flocking on the underside to protect your surfaces. The chess cabinet lid removes to store chess pieces securely in the divided base and we advise chessmen with a king height no greater than 3 inches and with narrow bases .
