  • Beautifully made in Italy.
  • Superior quality briarwood and elm.
  • 16.75 inch board with 1.55 inch squares.
  • Perfect for a king height of 3 inches.
You cannot fail to be impressed by the quality of this outstanding Briarwood and Elm chess board. Precision laid veneer squares are separated from the outer border with a finely cut ebony veneer. With this feature, along with the rich, warm tones of the woods, the ideal chessmen to set upon this astonishing board would be solid black, either ebony or ebonized boxwood with a king height of 3 inches. The finish on the board is exemplary; the quality lacquer used sublimely emphasizes the grains and knotting in the briarwood and the beautiful rich tones. Felted pads protect the lacquered veneer underside of the chess board as well as your furnishings.
